10:22
Time
It’s been running out since the moment I was born
10:22 PM on a breezy Saturday night
On April 29th
That’s when the clock that runs my life began.
Tick tock goes the clock,
The clock of humanity,
The clock of sanity,
The clock of reality,
The clock that controls what we did last and what we do next.
Time
It’s the indefinite continued progress of existence…
Existence
Are we living or are we existing?
Are we doing or are we being?
Are we seeing or are we believing?
Now, the only way to know that is to know how we are using
Our time.
Time
It’s a gift
A gift misused, wasted, and killed.
It’s supposed to be used productively to define our lives at a latter time
But we’ve grown up in a world
That’s so concerned about how we use our present time
To determine our future time
So concerned about our future life
That we forget to breathe in the time in between.
Time
Time is money, but money isn’t time
And it’s only a matter of time
Until both our time and our money
Run flat.
So how do you spend your time?
Is your time defined in the amount of selfies you take?
The followers you have on twitter?
The likes you get on Facebook or Instagram?
Your time is precious
Tick tock
The clock’s still ticking
While we now decide how to use our time
The clock that decides
The clock that guides
The clock that resides
Within us
The clock that makes us no different than the one next to us
The clock that will eventually run out
Time
It’s a bird that flies by
It’s sand between our fingers
And we can’t close our hand to hold onto it
Because we swear we don’t have enough time
To enjoy what’s in front of us.
Time
It’s the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the
Past,
Present
And future
Regarded as a whole.
Although
If time is regarded as a whole
Why do we waste so much time multitasking;
Dividing our time so we don’t finish one thing,
Yet we start many things
And ultimately kill the little bit of time we have left.
Tick tock
The clock ticks slowly
As the time we spend complaining about everything we have to do
The thing’s we aren’t going to be able to do
Slips between the cracks of stress and responsibility
Slips between our words
WE NEED MORE TIME
Time
She’s wasted
She’s used
She’s stretched to her limit
But the reality is
We can’t get rid of her and we can’t ask for more of her
We have to seize her
Love her and cherish her
Because time is a gift
And the worst thing we can do is let her drift
Away
Like our endless, numbered days
Time
As I conclude
Don’t try to elude
The reality that you’re wasting your time
Youth
Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days
Because all you really have
Is your time
