I know what it’s like to be left behind I know what it’s like to be searching for Something… Someone… Anything… I can’t stop these tears in my eyes It’s impossible to hold them back I can’t let you see me cry And that’s just a fact I know what it’s like to be lost With no one ever paying the cost Of what this has done to me That fortunately you will never see The drops that have dried on my cheeks For weeks and weeks and weeks You will never know How you hurt me so Years have dragged by Not once I let you see me cry Because that would hurt me more It would shake me to my core The world is a cruel place That can’t even save one face From the lies of the past The scars that will forever last No matter how hard I try I’ll always have my fears And every time I cry I’ll only think of you causing all those salty tears
