Dasher, Dancer, Smoke a pack Prancer, cancer Hit the sack. One day you'll wake And realize you Need to stop For their sake, too. You want to be there When they graduate You want to be there When they take the leap. When the baby Takes his first steps When Morgan dates The girl with the pep. You cannot be here If you're smoking a pack. You will be in bed, And will have hit the sack. 1.13.15 Copyright From A Poet's Heart

I have been writing poetry full-time since September 2014. I am a mom of 3 boys ages 12, 7 & 5, and stepmom to a son age 24, a daughter age 23 and a daughter age almost 19. I am happily divorced from my abusive ex husband and happily remarried to the man of my dreams. My new husband and i met thru poetry on Facebook. I like to read, write, and draw. I like music of ALMOST n e kind. I also listen to songs and rewrite the lyrics to a portion of my life story.

My ex smoked at the time and inspired this poem even though it was almost a month after Christmas.
