12-Years Young and Counting
Turning point in my life where there was change
My soul unhinged tugged and pushed into turmoil
Training and changing only for the hope I continually age
Sadness sweeps in and helps me stick to my good morals
No rage some fear I heal but still I am sick
Realization in the deep unearthing realization that I am not alone
Alone I am not indeed we as one must stay physically fit
Fit and sick is not fair so neither is the world but this is home
Dedication and assurance this was going to someday be my fate
A daffy personality is what I was said to have throughout my experience
Diagnosis that made my family members cry for their sad hearts ache
A Diabetic I am for this sickness I will beat with willful assurance
