The sting of winter is foreign to me

Suddenly I long for its biting annoyance

We celebrate the priveleged time

During which we are bombarded with normalities

There are rounded edges everywhere

Mocking us with their obvious purposefulness

My fingers are restless

Wishing they could fill the silence

With sad melodies of happier people.
