17 years

How many years does it take to love who you are?

To make you proud of you

To be grateful for what you have,

And not who you will be someday

And to love your town

For me it took 17 years

I wanted to feel loved

When I didn't love myself

I wanted

and I wanted and I wanted and I wanted

Now I regret wanting

Next year I will want what I had

I thought I needed to search to find who I am

I now know

Who I am is my first 17 years.

I love who I am.
