1,700 Miles

1,700 Miles

When it’s dark,

When all you have left

is imagination and memories,

That’s when it gets scary.

Your mind will

eat you alive.

Your thoughts of a someday

will tear your insides to shreds.

The pain will rip

your heart to pieces.

The fear will

make you go insane.

But the happiness will make

you never want to leave.

The joy will tape

your heart back together.

Your heart will never

let you forget.

Your soul will make

you want to live forever.

He makes me

feel both.

He breaks my heart

by loving me.

He makes me feel

like a queen.

Like I’m the only girl

in his world.

The heartbreak comes from

being 1,700 miles apart.

My heart is 1,700 miles

away from my chest.

The heartbreak comes

from not being with him.

The heartbreak comes from

the fear of losing him.

Nothing can make me

as happy as he did.

Nothing can make me

get over him.

Nothing will break

our friendship.

Nothing will break

our Love.

Not even 1,700 miles.
