18 and dead

Dead

18
he was 18 and dead
young, no life lived yet
young black men are now forced to fret
because he's dead, 18 and dead

black
black, 18, and dead
would it have been better is he was red
yellow blue green or white
either way its never right
because he's dead, 18 and dead

dead
death has taken him early on
another black mother's innocent son
dead, 18 and dead

shot
he was shot by a police man
protect us? do you think they can?
he's now dead, 18 and dead
