18 and Invincible

18 and innocent

18 and ambitious

18 and glowing

18 and waiting

For something to happen

For anything to happen

19 and content

19 and fading

19 and changing

19 and waiting

For something to happen

For anything to happen

20 and sinking

20 and crying

20 and slipping

20 and trying

To stay afloat

To stay alive

Be the one

With open eyes

21 and abused

21 and drinking

21 and used

21 and leaving

So she decided to leave

To a world of her own

To a world where it’s okay

To a world where she’s no longer in pain

To a world where she loves herself

More than anyone ever did

22 and smoking

22 and carefree

22 and stripping

but

22 and hurting

Secretly

Where no one knows

Her “friends”

Her “boyfriends”

And everyone she talks to

Because if they knew

She would be a joke

So

23 and done

23 and heavy

23 and stoned

23 and ready

For the last breath

For the last time

She’ll ever hurt

Forever

23 and pointing

23 and cocking

23 and steadying

23 and shooting

23 and falling

23 and gone

24 and hazy

24 and unnoticed

24 and alone

24 and dead
