The world is my horizon I can do anything I’m strong, Talented, Intelligent. So why can’t I get up? I know I can do it… I’ve done it before But why not now? Why is it dark? Why do I feel like I’m drowning? Am I drowning? What am I drowning in? The screams of my people… I hurt all over Is that why I can’t get up? But I’ve gone on through pain before… Why is this time different? I’ve functioned through the pain, Through inner turmoil Is it because of those screams? I’m hearing them everywhere around me… I guess that’s it… That must be it… Hey I managed to get up… But who is that in front of me? I remember them… Why is he crying though? What happened while I was down? He said I hurt him… I did? I don’t remember that… I’m usually good at remembering… So why can’t I remember why he’s here? Or when we even met? I remember him, I do… But what’s wrong with my mind? Those screams… It must be those screams… I’m blaming those screams…
