19th amendment

I vote because ladies and guys have equal say,

and perhaps oneday we shall have equal pay?

I vote to help a certain candidate so that they may lead,

and may their best ideas in the interest of the people succed,

I vote cause I have that right,

I vote not because of one's age, gender, or height

The nineteenth admendment led me here,

now my dear, a girl can succeed just as much as a male peer,

Girls don't hide away inside in fear,

Girls your place isn't in the kitchen or with the kids or to clean,

you don't have to learn how to make magic with sugar and a vanilla bean,

you can let your voice be heard for you can be seen,

I vote because the 19th amendment helped us to be a bit more free,

yeah that's what I see,

it inspired us of everything we are truly to be,

it helps me achiveing my dreams and becoming more like me.

Iḿ M, I like reading, writing, cooking, acting, and helping others. Good luck to other poets out there, and never give up on your dreams. No matter how hard it seems.
