So many people around me In most good is what I see But still so many act different then what should be There are the ass holes who judge those who the exterior is all they know Who’s lives are so complex and complicated that they just have to express themselves in their own way They do this just to keep their sanity in this crazy world filled with people who think they understand So they call a girl who wears too much makeup a clown While she covers up the bruises or the fact that she is insecure about what they think of her Or the boy who acts different than them With his thoughts and actions he expresses himself But all they see is how he poorly dresses And like predators they go in for the kill They are not cerebral, no they show no mercy and feel no remorse They make it slow and enjoy it They make a show of it and live for the applause Or maybe they do it because they know that if they show any weakness they themselves will become the next target So to the same god they pray, but they believe that the others who express themselves in ways they the prey enjoy are inferior to themselves In a tower they stand shooting all of those who don’t fit their standards Killing their hopes and dreams Making them fall apart at the seams Dropping the nukes that even if they don’t die on impact, the radiation follows them throughout their Some may try to forget the thoughts but the bullet wounds scar and scars don’t fade lives The soul can’t be sowed back together completely Memories are covered up and shoved into the back of the mind Eventually uncovered by someone who needs to know what troubles the one they love Yes, the one they love Because they are different They didn’t fit into the “norm” The clique that many wish to be a part of so badly But not them They don’t go out of their way to be a character in the show They write their own script that is then criticized for being too different TOO DIFFERENT! Different from everyone else I mean it’s like they are their own person Not another cog in the machine, but a unique contraption Something that has its own use It may not be a practical one, but it’s a use that matters to them and their loved ones A use that they will be known for and that they will be remembered as They will not be remembered as another “regular”, “normal”, puzzle piece to a demanding society But as themselves.
