A something from the past was all it was.

Disguised in the smog of circumstance,

I thought it to be something else.

It felt normal,

but after I was done reading,

I knew it was a tease,

and i cried.

I cried in my blankets and chills, until I could tremble no more,

and fell to sleep.

I keep it in a compartment,

and we no longer stare at eachother.

We take what we had,

and hold it within an envelope.

Never to be opened until maybe a few months.

A something from our past,

recognized and kept,

despite the smog.

Understood by the misunderstood. Just sitting, picking up the pieces, and waiting for rounds.
