2% is all it takes

Are we so different from each other?

Was my father wrong and your mother caring?

I stand by you imagining a future, a future with you as you are my brother

We have grown apart and changed our minds, can you not hear the sirens blaring?

The past has shown us where we split apart,

you chose to be with nature and nurture our parks.

I left you beind and learned my place in the world,

or so I thought.

And now I look at you and we can barely talk together,

The only difference is that 2%.

That 2% that says I can do what you can't,

That I can build and create, move mountains, fly and think.

But can't we both love and hate?

I can trust and so can you, the only difference is that 2%.

There will be a time when I find someone else,

Who will know me, and hate me, help me, and kill me,

They will be as alike with me as I am with you,

The only difference is 2%.
