2 a.m.

It’s 2 a.m., all the monsters are dead,

the chemicals flowing through my head.

I want to talk to you,

I let you sleep instead.

I always feel so alone,

even in the depths of my own home.

My world is filled with lies,

so where do I belong?

There are no pretty thoughts

in this girls head.

Just burnt out dreams

that are beyond being dead.

It would kill you to know

the despair that festers in my soul.

So gently, I close my eyes,

and imagine you here instead.
