2 hands
Both hands
I been trying to dream with both hands
grasping at the wind like wisp that get confused as part of the sky
stars, birds, pollen things that seem to fly
wondering why
one is full doubt and the other tied behind my back by the past
wondering why one is full doubt
full of things unsaid
concerned with things that do not concern you just myself
and every situation is different
birds fly why not me
are my hands holding on tightly to the past am I handcuffed to memories or regrets
were I been and what I been through
the root of the problem
the roots said the problem is we lose sleep to dream
we find our selves in the recurring nightmares
we find our sins in suffering
arms opposite
use both hands in the dirt
if you can dig it, grind them to the bone
swiming through life arms partake in the activity of not drowning
we been trying to dream with both hands
Sam and Man
me on the right, you on the left
I dreamed of communication
understanding that the purple mountains echoed the ringing of freedoms of all men in a slam like spoken thunder
he said his dream was a midsummer nights poem reading , he said he dreamed the sunset would be sienna tonight and time would slow then beautiful
we dreamed
They would believe in us
Come together
We will shape history
both hands dreaming
of what could be real
it feels like this could be real
this dream
Sam and Man
dreaming with both
Sam and Man
Jesus and God's with us
who could be ....without us
SAM AND MAN
Still trying to be
still trying to live
still trying to figure
still trying to understand
with both hands I push on
with both legs I stand
both of us
sam and I
then reach for the dreams
the world making it our own
believing in our selves
