2 years wasn't long enough

We held each others hand through it all,

danced and laughed having a ball,

But now that it's time to grow up,

and the time of fun has expired for us,

2 years did not feel long enough,

Did I mention?

There's bigger transitions

From High School to College,

time to shut down the non-sense

Though there are limits on our age,

we need to act more like the adults that our parents think they made

Para muñeca don't worry,

though living a life can feel like a hurry

My word may not be enough,

compared to what life has in store for us

Understanding one another,

always there for each other

This poem may not express my feelings as much,

and sister I know there is always an us,

it's just that 2 years wasn't long enough.
