20 Years of Learning

April is National Poetry month.

20 years ago, the month of my birth.

If you think of IT, it’s kind of funny.

Everyone asks “what have you learned

In the past 20 years?”

So, what has poetry TAUGHT me?

Poetry has taught ME to find a new energy,

And TO find beauty in life.

To UNDERSTAND things in a new perspective.

But most important,

It taught me how to L O V E.
