Can I just breathe

Can I just take a moment to allow myself to breathe

Is it ok with you if I take the time to give myself  the chance to breathe

Can you lift your eyes off my coconut brown skin

Can you stop staring at the curves in my lips and the way my thighs rub together when I walk

I'll survive without your windows gazing upon my garden

I am human you know

I do hear unlike some which is a blessing I know and I do not deny that

I do see unlike some although my vision is not the best I can still catch your glances

I am human you know

So treat me as such along with my women who does not feel the pain I feel

Who does not understand Why I get upset when stared at like the last bag of Spicy Nacho Cheese Doritos

I do not want to find my heart holder on a Social Network because he liked all of my half naked photos

Like damn can we breathe

Can we take a break from the idolization of twerking for followers and breathe

Is it ok with you if we all just stopped to give our selves a chance to breathe

I know it has to be more to this story

When we were young all the men where prince and all the girls were damsels

Shit we can save our selves if everyone stopped and breathed
