2022

the laughter floats my way,

there's nothing to say,

why would I want to join the conversation,

because what if that all leads to us all ending up at a police station,

talk to the wrongs kids and you end up with a black eye,

or your face covered in pie,

or possibly you might even die,

don't ask me why,

it's twenty twenty two,

but I bet you already knew,

it's the year nobody knows what to do,

it's the year for you to just be you

Iḿ M, I like reading, writing, cooking, acting, and helping others. Good luck to other poets out there, and never give up on your dreams. No matter how hard it seems.
