2:16 AM

You haunt my dreams with the thought of you.

Not dreams, more like nightmares.

You, you are my living nightmare.

A nightmare I cant seem to escape.

A fictional being who haunts my safe space, my me place.

Memories drawn back to the times you played my heartstrings the way an artist plays his guitar.

The broken fragments of me are all that remain.

Its 2:16 AM and I'm calling out your name.

You don't care, did you ever care?

Only the fiment of you in my imagnation remains.

They say sticks and stones may break your bones but words could never hurt me.

That was until your words pierced my skin like knives.

Engraved in my skin with a tattoo reminder of where we went wrong.

But what am I supposed to do now that you're gone and you were the only place where I truly felt at home.

Its 2:16 AM and all I can say is that I feel alone.

But the dusk turns to dawn and I realized I'm not alone.

Now all I want to say is thank you.

You taught me that I needed to learn to love me.

The endless nights suffering the thought of you, only taught me that I can love me too.

And I know that you're gone and I hope life treats you kind.

I hope she remembers the little things that make you irritated all the time.

And I pray that God heals you.

I hope she continues to get the chills for you.

I hope you are protected and I hope trouble neglects you.

And lastly I hope love is patient and kind to you.

Because sticks and stones could never break my bones, and your words will no longer hurt me.
