You are the calm before the storm. You're the quiet, still air that makes me feel at ease yet so out of place. You are the petrichor that fills my every sense; that lingers above my lips. You are the soft, gentle rain that caresses every part of me, Until all I feel is you. But, as you know, for every grey cloud comes a darker storm. Because even though you are the still air, And the earth, And the drizzle of rain, You are also the raging wind and the loudest thunder; The reason I would hide under covers. But for you I would stand fearlessly in the storm, Letting it consume me until it it is all I am. Until all I am is you. For even though you were the calm before the storm, You were the storm itself. For even though you were my hope before it hit, You were also the reason it came. And you drew me in. For even though most fear lightning, I found yours too beautiful to resist..
