mess of a head

too much for me

never have i seen

such imperfect beauty

your cracked hands

dark soul

colored cheeks

dangerous, unpredictable

so lovable

so let’s not go there

because i won’t be able to come back

carefree, asleep

you’re my cup of coffee

sixteen

afraid of goodbyes

fond of hellos

hiding behind that smile

you’re looking at me

but can you see me?

i’m staring at you

and i can see right through you
