Foreword:

This poem reflects my inspiration to create and design from the motivation and excitement of my students. As an elementary school teacher, it is my job to push and channel my students' inner creativity to help spark their learning in the most explorative and innovating ways. Each day is an exciting adventure where I have the priviledge to divuldge into a world of curiosity and passion for learning. If a student fails to acquire this drive, it is my job as the educator to inspire them, however, in the most unlikely ways, sometimes it is my students who inspire me. 

A child's future begins 

with a classroom of twenty four. 

Sometimes more, sometimes less, but the fact remains

interaction between diversity

helps creativity flourish in young minds.

Students learn, educators teach, 

this may be the old-fashioned way of thought.

To think perhaps we have it all backwards

may provoke those old minds into abstract inspiration.

For what if the purpose of the child is to motivate, 

dare the teacher to spark change 

or create, design, and innovate. 

Maybe the child is the reason for 

sleepless nights

and transformative diversification.

Perhaps we have it all wrong. 

The teacher learns from the student

how to educate,

what to create, 

how to design,

revolutionize ideas,

inspire those around them

to simply be better. 

Be better than what we already know,

be greater than those who have already passed.

Be better so that the children may see

and can be better too. 

This is what the future holds,

and to think the future begins

with a classroom of twenty four.
