25

25

By nashon
25 before I turned 24
Beat the clock before I beat the gun
So many crushes and relationships
Was living my life with only my eyes to show me the way
My heart tried to speak up but my mouth and mind
Ignored all it had to say...
Used like rag then thrown away...
Maybe that's why I went from rags to riches...
Sitting on my own throne today...
Had to learn from them mistakes and remember them lessons...
Now I'm all in for the game...
Time to teach the lesson...
No time for disrespecting...
So many problems in relationships
I just say my life was problematic...
No way to get through...
Except to add it...
All the way from the names I forgotten to the ones on this that I keep adding...
It seems I'll be a master adder never subtracting...
25 before it turned 5
Counted out loud but the number I ended up reaching was way too high...
So I just stopped adding and started tallying...
Sitting in my mind in an alley and all I see is ruins...
Deep in my heart and all I see are parts...
It's all torn to pieces but still I view love as a work of art...
I'm all buried by my crushes too bad it hurts no longer
long ago was my body dragged by them crushes
Just today to be sat on like I was the bottom bench...
Squished under the weight of sin and lust...
This home is soon becoming my bench...
This scent soon becoming my stench...
And these stains my blood as I repeatedly hammer the lesson like a nail
Into my skull myself...
People look at me not knowing my self worth...
Beauty surrounds me but truly at what wealth is it held...
Inward I'm different than people perceive at a glance...
All church boy'd up to increase my self wealth...
Too bad my self wealth is only worth the value of my inward self...
On a scale to 100 I fall under 25
Yet on a scale to 10 I fall in the bottom 5...
Southern tribe is now where I hide...
