(25) R.I.P. Shadow 12.16.23 @ 2:56pm
Part of me died on a Friday night.
I became heartless, running from the light.
Fucking theifs caught flight.
Sentimental possessions robbed on sight.
Fuck what the world has to say!
Nothing’s the same since that day.
It was my pride and joy.
It was more than a toy.
To everybody else, it’s just a material item.
If I saw who it was, I would fight him.
I had the world in the palm of my hands.
There’s no place I couldn’t go, I had plans.
Wishing this was all a dream.
Seeing it disappear, I wanted to scream.
A part of me will forever be gone.
I’ve been mourning since dawn.
Life isn’t the same anymore.
Keep your head up but mine’s facing the floor.
I’ll always remember my first fixed gear bike.
I’ll never forget the adrenaline, the high.
Dashing my way through the streets.
Running from the feds, fleeing the heat.
Encountering memorable times for another beat.
Unstoppable, I was the beast.
Locked into my memories.
They’ll never get the best of me.
I am eternally free.
Ready for another adventure, time to flee.
