292 Miles Away From You

You are exactly 292 miles away and it feels like you’ve been gone forever.

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to endeavor.

292 miles away from you and the whole world is painted blue.

Everything is different, everything is new.

Your presence still lingers around my mind as if you never left.

It is almost impossible to get any rest.

You are my heart’s most admired keeper, the only person who keeps me eager.

Although you are 292 miles away from me, you are the only one that keeps my mind at ease.

How are you doing? Is it as great as you say?

Oh, how i wish you had stayed.

“Do not forget about me,” I had said the last time we spoke.

“Never in a million years,” you had joked.

292 miles away and I still remember your laugh, it always breaks my heart in half.

At times, my smiles are wiped off by frowns.

Lost, dazed and confused,

almost like nursing a permanent flu,

as I agonize over how badly I’m missing you.
