2B or not 2B
To be or not to be?
This is the question:
Do we take our steps forward to follow each other,
Or is this simply another step toward what becomes Big Brother?
I look and see that we are walking in circles already drawn,
Drawn before the illustrator ever realized they would be stepped upon.
There is a lack of things we will never understand, it was shown to us before,
We're only given the items that we were meant to explore.
For what then, are we living in a world so vast not even one of us,
Could even begin to try, to attempt, to THINK, of how to discuss?
Finding what it is we are all getting closer to with every living breath,
Becomes only harder the nearer we are to death.
We have not even found how to simply sit in the middle,
Being so easily swayed by the invisible shadow playing the fiddle.
Oh, how inspiring, leaders shouting “yes we can”,
But the others shouted “no I can’t”, as they began,
To tell of how blue colored minds are as the sky,
Heads in the clouds as they deny,
That the red minded are underground,
Buried in magma, hard to be found.
All this brought because to walk on land,
Is too much, too boring, too bland.
To sit between the extremes,
Is far beyond reason it seems.
Why is it that it is so hard to act as a child?
Is it difficult, absurd, wild?
Perhaps, men find the middle ground weak.
Only for child’s play, is it wrong to be meek?
Staying in the center of the spectrum is hard to do,
Stopping in the space neither red nor blue.
It shows why we’re different from when we were young.
It shows why so many for good causes were hung.
We have stopped watching our child shows because,
We may never be so purple as Barney was.
