2nd Revolution
2nd Revolution
The seagulls in the air
Fly like they just don’t care
The demeanor of the sea is calm,
The same feeling is conveyed by the palms
Here lie the shores of a nation that prides itself on equality and courage
A nation that has stood the test of time, never giving up on itself
All the sudden, screams arise from the depths
“AHHH!” The sound of anguish fills the air
While the entire sea foams red from the blood being shed
Dead bodies rolling with the waves like rocks over the side of a cliff
The waves continue to roll tearing, ripping, and destroying all that is in their way
The population of this nation is lined up along the coast, the executioner, hid behind a veil of darkness
An impression of the hopeless society that is us
Human lives being ruined by what we have been told
Believing that someone out there was looking out for us
The seagulls watch, they already know what will happen
Even the brief silence screams with agony
While the hopeless society crumples beneath them
Darkness overtakes the sky as chaos and calamity unfold
Democracy is destroyed, while dictatorship and anarchy arise
A peaceful walk on the beach is impossible now
The jet black night rolls on
The cacophony of crashing chaos is the only thing left
Of a society once so strong
It hasn’t always been like this
So hopeless, so desolate
Many would say that we thrived
Did we?
Or maybe it was just a lie
The grass was green, the trees alive
The world so bright, so filled with life
We watch the things that we love move away from us, flowing through our hands like sand
The golden days have passed, the goodness, generosity and graciousness of the world that we had once known was gone
Morphed by inadequate leadership and flawed political systems
The population was slowly poisoned with the syringe of dictatorship
Where had America gone? What had happened?
The changes caused by deceit and crime in the government had ruined what we were
Once a vibrant place full of strength and honesty, the nation had been on the right path
We strayed; we lost the battle for what was ours
Now look at us, just broken, filled with anger, defeat and coldness
We have given in, we have succumb to what we were told by those above us
Is it time to rise against the government?
Is it time to take back what is rightfully ours?
Maybe it is, in fact, I KNOW it’s time
They have bled us dry
A nation that has been weaned off of everything that was holding us together
Our leader? A man who thinks that change is the only answer
A man who wants things done his way only
A selfish, controlling narcissist who’s only goal is to gain more power for himself
The powder keg of society is resting in the ravine of dictatorship
The snake looking fuse is held by our leader, and yes, he’s already lit it
The damage that our “great” leader he has created will not kill us, not if we can prevent it
We must protect ourselves with every breath we take
The problem? We are running out of places to hide from him
He has infiltrated our lives on levels that have never been reached
Society has fallen; we have been infected by ideas and philosophies that have never even been considered in previous times
The trees watch us, they beg for us to think things through
The ideas we come up with, and the values we have lost are a testament to the demeaning state that we have fallen to
The fact that most of the citizens of this nation aren’t wary of the danger is very disturbing
The land lies in waste and destruction waiting for a savior
It’s time for us to wake up, we must act, or we will be permanently destroyed
The dying, the destruction and the lying must stop, we must change the nation’s course
We are heading for a terrible end if we do not
You
Me
Us
Let’s join together and bring this chaos to a halt
Our only option is to stand for our freedoms and stand for the principles on which this nation was founded
If we do not stand for these, we can be sure that the two-faced government will take them away as quickly as they can
