3-6-5
The tree and lights are put away
No more jingles, no more sleighs
The joy is gone
The grinches are again welcome to stay
The pink and red
The candy hearts
Cupid arrives
New relationships begin to start
Rainbows form
A pot of gold
At the end
Everyone’s dream to find and spend
Spring has sprung
Snow turns to slush
Baskets, eggs, and chocolate
The bunny comes in a rush
It’s warm now
The sun is shining
School is over
No more whining
For some a vacation
For others a job
Tan lines and swimsuits
Perfect weather for corn on the cob
Fireworks and sparklers
Red, white and blue
Grateful for freedom
Aren’t you too?
Back to the routine
Of papers and tests
So much to do
We already want to rest
A day off of work
A day to relax
No more white shoes
No more white slacks
Black cats and orange pumpkins
Full of superstition
Ghost stories, haunted houses
A witch is brewing stew in her kitchen
A time to be thankful
To celebrate with food
Turkey and pie
Puts everyone in a good mood
Decorations go up
Presents under the tree
The countdown begins
Everyone is filled with glee
Resolutions are made
Needed changes are clear
3-6-5
The number of days in a year
