3 AM, 6 Months Later
I let out a sigh,
Held my head to the sky.
You had me so high.
It felt so right.
Mesmerized...
And hypnotized...
And synthesized...
With your soul and mind.
And so it was
Indeed because
Of the mourning dove
With brine and glove;
As a gift from above,
A desciple of love.
I was giving enough.
But it wasn't enough...
...
I start asking why
I gave you my time
You preyed upon my
Insecurities, I
Thought we were fine,
You said you were mine
With every night.
But you caught me by--
Surprised, I see!
See me standing here,
Gallantly,
And smiling sweetly
With rotten teeth.
Your face is guilty;
You're looking at me
With great difficulty.
...
You had to say no.
Understood, though I hoped.
I cared for you so
Much you didn't know.
It makes me sick
How you deal with it
While I just sit
And wait here 'cause I have a bone to pick!
We've been there before!
Never again, I promised, I swore!
But dirty clothes happened upon the floor
And salty waves crashed on the shore;
"More and more and more," I implored!
Invading my core,
You made me feel sore!
Now what's in store?
I'll tell you what's more!
I'm screaming, "Lord, I'm not a whor--
--ible person!
You used me and made me feel worthless!
Intended to do it on puprose
You didn't, then why does it hurt?
This impossible cycle, this circus!
Can't cope with this!
It's insane the way you would spur this!
What did I do to deserve this?
Oh, PLEASE, tell me how I can cure this--
Insatiable hunger inside me!
You caused, but did it so blindly!
I feel my temperature rising
From fury I can't be denying!
Give me reprieve and please be timely:
Judgement is dead and Logic is hiding;
Goodness, labored; Purity, binding;
Sleep has been lost and needs to come find me..."
...
I let out a sigh,
Hold my gaze to the sky.
The moon is so high.
Self destruction is nigh.
Though as dusk turns to light
And the terrors subside,
I know I'll be alright
Through day's next night.
