The 3 Certainties

We’re born. We live. We die

These are three aspects of life that are for certain

Once born, we are dependent on the nurture of our mother

Whom at this point is at the second certainty – living

Thus this can be derived as a cycle

Some call it a vicious one

As one has no autonomy over it

We may only conform to the pre-set rules

These are ordained by either self-proclaimed leaders

Or gods of whom presence is unknown

Unclear of what the purpose of life is

One learns through a sequence of trial and errors

With the desperate goal of obtaining and achieving ones purpose

In psychology, they call this self-actualisation

Reaching ones full potential

However it is rarely achieved

Our lifespans vary depending on circumstance

Generally the rich live longer and the poor; shorter

Strange how simply the way in which life is lived

Has an effect on its duration

It has been stated that humans have lived tenfold of the lifespan today

Source of origin being the bible

Christians believe this is the word of god

But proof of this existence is non-existent

Some argue that if there were a god

Why see all the pain and suffering, claim to love us

Yet do nothing of aid

Life is unclear and difficult

Inevitable are any of these certainties

Thus all is concluded with the third

Death
