So is this what it's all about?

You grow together, branches on this tree of life

Entangled through hopes, dreams and wonderous schemes

Limits are a lie even though you and I are grounded

Bonding through what's in the bottle

May I vent if a soul is allowed to

The heart of Youth if I may say

May be a part of you left with incisions

I always thought friends, scratch that Brothers

Would grow together and for an eternity

Relate to the other

But life comes with a knife in hand

Teaches you lessons with a Machiavellian plan

Or maybe I'm just being too harsh

And you were given a position, only forced to play your part

To mature maybe is to seperate

And grow new wings

If that is the case then best be prepared

I WILL grow wings, great and rare

Make the average man think, "life is unfair"

Why? Well, let me let you know.

Since a seed, I was destined to glow

Forget me momentarily

But you will remember me, for as long as forever

Like the fire that needs the air

I won't burn unless you're there

That goes for everyone who WILL recall

They ain't never had a friend like me
