4-29

The 29th of April, Clear skies except for a lingering cloud

Once upon a time I could only focus on that grey, now all I see is you in the light

The breeze that sends chills through me produces goose bumps that spread like a current

My eyes are closed as I try to envision her

Once upon a time these images would send me in a spiral

Now they seem to lift me up

I don’t imagine your fall but instead your smile

The memories of standing in the rain are still there

I won’t forget them

And I don’t want to

Those times were hard to get through but I don’t want to forget them

I don’t want to forget anything about you

You were a beautiful soul that raised everyone around you

You still do

I don’t think about you every day any more though

You used to consume my mind and gnaw at my heart

But now your presence is there to lift me

Lift me

As I sit in the draft I see you

I know you’re there

I hope you’re doing ok
