4 years today

Dear Jeda,

I hope you’re in heaven

Smiling from up above

Proud of me

Speak out loud of me

Tell the angels all about me

I remember when you were here

And you would tell me

Get your education Samantha

“Go to college unuka”

I miss you Jeda, so much

I graduate this May and I know you would be proud

The world is in the palm of my hands

Life will continue as I smile for such a great accomplishment

I am not sure of what is to come

I am not quite positive where I am going to college yet

I am sure though that if I could see you

One last time

Jeda

I would truly be the happiest person in the world

Today marks four years since

We lost you

I lit a candle for you today

The bright, gentle warmth of the flame

Reminds me of your love

Thank you for believing in me

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have a college education

Thank you for being the best grandfather a girl could have

What I have

Is so much love

And I hope you are smiling

From up above

Love you,

Samantha
