Oh so thankful
My heart is full
All the stress
All the tears
The wrinkle
Is just a sprinkle
Of all the lessons and hard work
Each day expressed by the peeking gray
Reaching out to say
May I stay
By the way
the sweat stain
Is from the pain
Of seeking to gain
Daily peace
Seemingly always slightly out of reach
Due to the human stumble
If only we could just stay humble
It really is enough
Cause you don't need all that gawd damn stuff
avoiding comparison
To be unique
Into your own
Building a dome
Completely content
Satisfied with your homemade tent
Lit by just one candle
You learn to dismantle
The material things
That drain your brain
Looking into space
Embracing each face
With the goal...
peace, love and
to embrace every race!!
