500 Words or (Preferably) Less

We slice our  lives down to 500 words,

--Words which can't begin to describe us,

Hoping for acceptance to write more words,

--Words which will never be fully appreciated.

We freely offer our 500 words,

--Words comprised of blood and tears,

Inviting strangers to judge our worth,

--Worth effectively dubbed as null.

We buy and sell futures with 500 words,

--Words which can't begin to describe us,

Submitting that lives are nothing more than words,

--Words which will never be fully appreciated.

I write for the sake of my sanity and I weep for the heart of humanity. #SpreadTheSpokenWord
