The 600 Year Old Man
There once was a man who was 600 years old!
He was kind, he was nice and always followed the Lord.
His name was Noah and was a family man.
With his sons Shem and Japheth and even one named Ham!
They always chose the right, but no others did,
Making God upset by their doings he forbid.
So God said to Noah it was time for a change
and Noah'd better prepare for the flood he'd arrange.
So Noah did what any good man would do,
He built a grand ark for the deep waters blue.
He gathered the pandas and monkeys and bears,
Every living thing welcomed in boy and girl pairs.
They all crowded on to embark on the ark,
Though I'm sure the long trip was no walk in the park.
It rained and it poured, 40 days 40 nights,
Til all mountains were swallowed, leaving nothing in sight.
Washed away were the wicked and violent and cruel,
Noah's family just grateful they hadn't been fools.
A dove Noah sent to see what she might meet,
Though shortly returning with no rest for her feet.
So 7 days later went the dove once again,
Who returned to his side to show where she had been.
With an olive leaf in her mouth Noah knew right away,
Dry ground was in store to help cease the sway.
They stepped off the ark and thanked God for their lives,
As the men went around, a hug and kiss to their wives.
Noah thanked God, a sacrifice at the alter,
Praying that he wouldn't be one to falter.
God was so pleased with Noah's faith in the plan,
Stating never again would he ask this of man.
