6:40am

This morning

I feel my teetering age

my mortality

my shield of youth gone

and a budding tenderness for all life.

I see the sunrise and

those morning clouds being cleared

It wipes its eyes

As I feel its benevolent tears.

This Sun has a long-everlasting life

and my powerfully frail body

just a fraction of its time...

I feel my mortality

death isn't so far away

but when it arrives

my spirit will continue to grow

on and on

far and far

and on and on and on....

Until then,

I will love.

I will swim in all waters,

will look into all skies,

will smile at all eyes.

I have and will continue to sigh

for as you know

as beautifully as they come

is as beautifully as they have gone.
