6_7_6
A woman walks the wonders of the world,
Basking in the glow of her steps: 6-7-6. You see,
There are 6 things that she is sure of,
7 things that she is damn sure proud of,
And another 6 things that she is proudly sure,
She belongs to a crew of misfits.
She’s misunderstood to the point where misunderstanding makes her normal,
But who the hell asked you to understand her your way?
To put her into your perfect figurine,
But not bothering to remove the different layers to get to know her core.
Figurines are meant to be looked at,
Turned into the eye of the beholder,
So imagine your surprise when the figurine transforms into a person with so many dimensions:
She could be her own universe.
Label-less she stands in the crossroads where tags are hurled,
Forcibly imparted and regurgitated after every meal.
Crossroads contains the connection road she wishes to take: unpaved, unseen, untouched.
With her beliefs strongly grounded in the One,
She begins to walk.
And as she walks the sixes resonate,
Deep within her being she begins to fall,
Procrastination addicted to the passions and pleasures purposely laid in her path.
But Heads Up Seven Up is no longer shrouded in anonymity,
As the seven resolutely rises in response to the sixes,
Saying, “God is love, and Love is all. So be proud of who you are.”
When you think about it,
If that seven was absent and another six declared present,
Rest assured atomic radiation wouldn’t be the cause of the chronic cancer chilling in her bones,
For the 6-6-6 on the honor roll was supposed to be the detention toll
Placed on those misguided souls born into a world where all they know is sin.
I am sure that I was blessed to have missed this fate, I am damn sure proud of all my dimensions,
And I am proudly sure I’m not the only one facing obstacles.
I am a woman that walks the wonders of the world,
Basking in the glow of my steps: 6-7-6. You see,
There are 6 things that I am sure of,
7 things that I am damn sure proud of,
And another 6 things that I am proudly sure,
I belong to the One that made humanity.
