The 7 Stages of FFA

The Seven Stages of FFA Membership

First you have the member

The follower of it all

"To practice brotherhood"

Starting in the fall

Members make up the whole chapter

From here on and after

They are the light of the day

They are what paves the way

Next you have the Sentinel

Stationed by the door

He sends out the welcome

No matter the number

Even if there’s only four

He cleans up before

He cleans up after too

He strives to keep things comfortable

For me and you

Next you have is the Reporter

Sending information

From border to border

"In order to inform every man, woman, and child"

That FFA business is always in order

The Treasurer is next

He never gets any rest

Signing all those checks

So we can purchase the very best

"Encouraging the thrift

Among the members"

And no, that’s definitely no myth!

Soon you have the Secretary

Stationed by the ear of the corn

With the pen and paper, she quickly writes

Her paper is always worn

With the things the President is saying

And the motions that the members are relaying

Our Vice President,

Helping master the labor of our toil

Just as the plow breaks the soil

Like the sweat of the brow

He is always on the prowl

Always making sure we know

That he represents the plow

Finally, we have the President

The finest of them all

If anything goes astray

He is always there to catch it all

He represents the token of a new day

Through better ways

He’s always there when we need a word

The loudest voice that can be heard

He is the rising sun

Rises in the East

But never setting in the West

Only, because he is the very best.

Through these seven spots

There will never be any lost

Traditions of this great and famous organization

At two taps of the gavel

They will always be found at their stations

Waiting for the following information

With astounding patience.
