8,000 Miles apart but Forever in my Heart

'Ju Ju'

uttered from your lips, a name for me

so plain to see

Love.

Three months is not enough time

Not enough time to let my love flow through your veins

Not enough time to feel these pains

Since you are gone.

'Moha'

A name for you,

a nickname that was between us two

Truth?

You made me better.

Another reason to keep my head up

You made sure I wasn't fed up

You kept me fed-

Let me sleep in your bed,

Safe.

You kept me safe, protected my heart and my mind..

You are the reason I ryhme

But this is not about love.

I want that to be clear, because you are much more than this complicated thing we are all seeking.

With you there was no fear.

Only inspiration...

You who is 6 years older than I

Your first language completely different than mine..

You opened my eyes.

I replay the last night we spent in my head

I'll play it over and over until the memory is dead.

Lana singing, 'I'll run to you,'

Me telling you I'll run to you.

This was the night, the night before you would be

8,000 miles from me

This night forever in my head

Because it was when you said-

"You want to run to me?

Run to me in your school work-

Run to me in your business,

Run to me in your health,

Run to me in your job...

Do your best."

I've never known a truer friend and for that I'm blessed.

I know when I reach all my goals I'll leave you impressed.

Now I digress.
