9/11

Over the skyline there was a plane

Nobody would have guessed next what would’ve came

With a crash and rumble

That tower started to crumble

First responders responded in a rush

Lives were being torn and crushed

Through those screams and cries

The other tower was struck and we had to ask why?

It started to fall

Just like Pompeii’s walls.

Not soon after the other one came down

We wouldn’t be pushed around.

We rose from those ashes with fire raging around

In the end we would stand on the high ground.

As the sun settled down

We knew we’d never be torn down.
