I sit on this old rough roof The sun hits my face with its bright rays And I look out And everything becomes quiet I breathe in the Pomona air As I begin to look at the clouds My mind makes animals And flowers out of them I sit still I can hear the birds chirping I can see the dried out grass I can hear the laughs of small children I can hear the calm, droning, almost ocean like sound Of cars driving through I can hear the wonderful sound Of people living The wonderful feeling that is to be alive And as the fall breeze fill my lungs As I stare at the crimson sun setting I am, even just for a second, Happy
