A Cosmology of Evil

"Is it better to out-monster the monster, or to be quietly devoured?" A question that gnaws on me hour by hour. Should I continue to fight fire with fire? Or am I merely stoking the flames to my own pyre? Evil is nothing but for the power behind lies, Or is that just merely what the "wise man" cries? Self-proclaimed evil is not always cruel, But rather becomes so when emotions take rule. In a world without good, what becomes of evil? In a world of the con, the cheat, the weasel? A world without wonder, a life without a smile, A world where everything dies, other than that which is vile? In the end, evil never stopped winning, While good people devolve into sinning. But what if that were to be altered? What would become of good once evil faltered? Through these cracks, light begins to shine. But evil too, seeps in through these lines. There is a thin line between that which is bad, and that which is good. With each crack, that line continues to blur, so misunderstood. Is anything inherently bad or great? Or do we live in a world where rules are bound by hate? The answer to this question, I know not. But I do know the answer is not what we sought.
