A Lifetime of Gratitude [Old Poem]
Through tear filled eyes
A sorrowful melody begins
Where a piece of me dies
My mind my tormentor
A dreadful ballad enveloping
My head it’s epicenter
Light pierced through the ugly veil
A chord fell silent
What will it’s beauty entail
The soft voice gave me life
A lovely harmony began
Lifting me from my strife
Filling me with purpose, a light
A new ensemble flittering in
A newfound joy to excite
Your love my mending clue
A heavenly choir chanting
For all I love, is you.
