A little poem I wrote about love pt three
Roses are red and violets are blue. If you are
true to me, then I’ll forever be true to you.
Infinitely and until the end of time. I’ll be
yours if you’ll be mine.
Our story didn’t start out as fate. Or love at
first sight. It started out as more.
Friendship.
Something authentic and pure.
While roads may be bumpy and hills may be
steep, as confusing as you may be, you’re one
of the only things in my life that makes sense.
Imperfectly.
Life is too short not to spend it with the one
you love.
I never doubted the man you are, or the man
you say you will be. Because I’ll give you my
all, if you give your all to me.
With you I’ve learned that love is one of those
inexplicable things. The only constant being
its ability to bring people together…Despite
everything.
Since we’ve met my mind has been filled with
answers and questions with no clear connections.
Like, can you explain why it felt like I’d
known you forever after just one week?
Inside and out…
Can you explain why when I’m with you I
can’t remember a time without.
A time of doubt.
A time where I had mountains to surmount.
Because I can.
Love is simple.
And love is easy.
Love is more than dimples and lines that are
cheesy.
Love is infinity.
And most importantly,
Love is you and me.
You have no idea how dense infinity can be.
When I look at you my breath catches on my
heart. Like I’m running without a beginning,
end, or start.
A round 8.
A lemniscate.
I love you beyond symbols and tracks.
I love you beyond the moon and back.
Sometimes it feels as though I’d love you until
my heart cracks.
Love doesn’t end so neither will my poems
about you. This is more than roses that are red
and violets that are blue.
Because…
If you are true to me, then I’ll forever be true
to you. Infinitely and until the end of time.
I’ll be yours if you promise to be mine.
