a poem

As Robert Frost once said, "A poem begins with a lump in the throat; a homesickness or a love sickness. It is reaching out toward expression; an effort to find fulfillment. A complete poem is where an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words." I believe it's true because every time I think about you I get a lump in my throat I find my fingers begging me to write about you begging me to let out my feelings because I am so in love. I've fallen so hard for you I physically cant stop thinking about you I just want to get in a car and drive those 6 hours to you hug you close hold your hand and simply be. there. let my eyes trace the familiar curve of your smile let my fingers brush across your hand run them through your hair and lay my head on your shoulder I have 'Hey There Delilah" on repeat when I think about you It's our song, our melody ours. I look forward to that day where we can be together freely say I love you whenever we want and drive around blasting music and laughing two more years. exactly six hundred and twenty three days 411 miles to cross to see you
