A Yellow Shroud
Love that my today felt like ending
Hate that tomorrow may be light
Love the confusion into beginning
Hate that tomorrow I don’t have to fight
Love life’s constant changing
into hate of a dull bite
into love of a rotted apple
Will hate work when love breaks?
Is it better to beat life with a fake
Reality of something better
Something different
that can be changed
Dear self, write me a letter
Today felt like ending
Cover it in lies of something better
Accept that it’s not better
Understand it won’t get better
Bear the bite of the bitter fruit
and be better for it
Take my wings that are clipped
From them I shall make a rocket
Of delusion
Of love for my life
dedicated in illusion
