Aaliyah
The ascended.
Oh why did Father clip your wings?
Your beauty dissolved into the warm waters that I swim in to try and find you.
I want to know how you thought and what you liked to do.
I want to know everything.
My sweet blue bird, tell me why the caged bird sings.
Your smile reminded the world that there is a sun hung in the sky.
It was the way that dark mane hung over your left eye.
Your name is hieroglyphics in our minds.
Even the damned would dare. The Gods felt your essence and cried.
The movement of a snake and the heart of a child.
Come back to me, can't you hear me calling for you?
My saving grace.
It's been too long and I'm lost without you.
I would set the world on fire, just to see you face to face.
I'm needing you, to shed light on a narrow path towards everything I Can Be
Tell me my queen, am I missing something you are trying to show me?
Your throne is gold and the floor under your feet is now ivory; the palace of the Gods
The ascended, I plead with you now
Descend to this now deaf world
Let us see your angelic crown.
